Mt. Princeton (Pictures) - February 2006
 |
Today I took three pictures of Mt. Princeton from
three different vantage points from Buena Vista, Johnson Village and Nathrop respectively.
Among Chaffee County's many "14ers", Mt. Princeton, standing at 14,198 feet above sea level,
is probably the most recognizable. The "three humps" of Mt. Princeton's eastern face, that can be seen from the Arkansas River Valley, are well-loved by locals and tourists. (Adjacent photo taken in Buena Vista) |

The view of Mt. Princeton from the Collegiate Peak Overlook, which is located just west of Johnson Village off State Highway 24. |

The view from Chaffee County Road 163, which leads to the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs, Chalk Creen Canyon (including the Chalk Cliffs) and St. Elmo. |
