14ers In Chaffee County, Colorado - (Beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains) (January 30, 2006) Chaffee County is the home of twelve "14ers" - mountains with a summit that is 14,000+ feet over sea level, and is a short driving distance from yet another fifteen 14ers in neighboring counties. No matter where you are in Chaffee County, you are practically guaranteed to be within short distance of having a wonderful view of our beautiful mountains.
